Something a little different about these particular liquid lipsticks is that they come with a clear gloss to put on over them. However, they last for a very long time, if you try to remove them after only an hour or two of wearing them, you’re going to have to really scrub them off! Like most liquid lipsticks, they start to chip off near the end of their wear-time, but I’ve found that layering different colours together makes them last longer. These are true liquid liquid lipsticks, they dry to a complete matte, and they are definitely drying on the lips. Plum Berry is quite sheer, but it’s this gorgeous deep red/purple shimmery shade that looks really good either on its own or layered with other liquid lipsticks to deepen them up and add a little more shimmer. It’s a little sheer so you have to pass over it a couple of times in order to get an opaque look, but it’s gorgeous and stays on really well. I love berry lipsticks, so this is definitely one of my favorite colours. This gives it just a slight ombré effect which makes the lips look bigger and fuller.

I love to wear this one with Always Rosy (549, above) right on top of it while focusing it in the center of the lip. In fact, I normally just dab a little bit in with my finger and wear it as a sheer pink-nude.
I used a lot of it in the picture to try and make it as true-to-colour as possible, but it isn’t easily this pigmented. Luminous Lilac is a very sheer purple tinted liquid lipstick. It also has some of the best staying power! I think it’s the perfect basic pink colour that looks good with everything and never lets you down. This is one of my favorite shades! Wine to Five is just the most perfect pinky-mauve colour that goes well with pretty much everything, and it has some of the best staying power too.Īlways Rosy is my other favorite shade. If you’re into brown-nude lips, Canyon is the colour for you! I’ve always liked to use this as a kind of bold/nude lip, so for those of you who are too shy to try the standard bold, dark purples and reds, this might be a good option for you. This colour, for whatever reason, has more of a chemically scent than all the other colours I have, and it is definitely not a “berry” shade.Įver Red-dy is an opaque blue based red that’s great for making your teeth look whiter! However, this one seems to start chipping off a lot sooner than the other colours, so I like to mix it with Plum Berry (559, below) to make it a little deeper and last a lot longer. It’s perfect for spring time.īeaming Berry looks really similar to Coral Sunset, but it is a little more vibrant and has this really cool pink/purple sheen in the tube. My favorite way to wear this is to layer it with other colours to lighten them up, or as a highlight colour in the center of the lip.Ĭoral Sunset is a sheer, coral, shimmery shade that also makes for a really nice nude colour. Honeyed is a sheer pinky-nude which is just pink enough that it doesn’t wash out your lips or make it look like you’re wearing your concealer as a lipstick. However, before I talk too much about them, lets get into the swatches! CoverGirl was one of the first brands of makeup I was introduced to and allowed to use when I first started wearing makeup and these have been a favorite of mine ever since – they’re cheap and I never have to worry about touching them up after they’re applied. Hello cuties! Welcome to my first post where I’m going to be swatching and reviewing the liquid lipsticks from CoverGirl.
